The 2023-24 School Year is already upon us! We are very excited to be starting a new year. To facilitate a productive start, please take a moment to visit this new Back-to-School page linked below. As the title suggests, it has everything families need to get ready for the new school year.
ONLINE REGISTRATION / AERIES PARENT PORTAL |
CHECK YOUR PARENT SQUARE MESSAGES FOR INSTRUCTIONS
MONDAY, AUGUST 7
All families (new & returning) will receive a ParentSquare message by about noon on Monday, August. The message will include instructions to access Online Registration.

Returning families can use the "forgot my password" button to access the Parent Portal.
THE REGISTRATION PORTAL WILL BE OPEN FROM
12 NOON on MONDAY, AUGUST 7 to 12 NOON on SUNDAY, AUGUST 13
Please calendar about an hour (it will likely take less time for most families) during the window above to ensure your child is ready to start school on Day 1.
The purpose of Online Registration is to complete the back-to-school paper shuffle online by:
- confirming enrollment
- updating/entering accurate information
- providing authorization for certain programs and permissions
CLASSROOM / TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS |
Classroom / teacher assignments will be shared by the morning of August 15 - after families have completed the online registration process.

At this time, only one form must be completed on paper: Medication at School Authorization.
This form requires a physician signature and must be on file in order for a student to take any medication (even over-the-counter meds like Tylenol) at school.

In an effort to save both time and trees, all other authorizations and information have been integrated into the Online Registration process.
The new handbook is available online at www.bvusd.info/handbook. At this time the following is available for review:
- Behavior Framework
- Attendance Framework
- Communication Framework
- Technology Use Agreement
- *Safety Framework
Part of the Safety Framework is under construction, and we will notify families when it's complete.
Please check your eligibility (below) and consider completing this online application if you may qualify.
BVUSD loses funding when eligible families don't submit and application, and qualifying families gain access to free/reduced costs for the entire household!
