We hear your hopes, your questions, and your concerns, and we’re committed to moving forward thoughtfully, transparently, and with continued community input.

We deeply appreciate the insight, curiosity, and care reflected in your feedback.

WHO PARTICIPATED

 

With over 400 respondents, including parents, staff, and community members, we received valuable feedback to help guide ongoing conversations about a potential expansion to include grades 7 and 8.

SUPPORT & CONCERNS

73% of respondents support continuing the conversation and 83% of parents are interested in enrolling their child

 


Support is overwhelmining positive with 73% of all survey respondents expressing interest in continuing this conversation

83% of families indicated interest in enrollment their child in a new middle school, if BVUSD were to develop one.  

 


Much of the support is based on interest in a smaller, more personal learning environment

Even among supporters, many emphasized the importance of taking a thoughtful, well-paced, data-driven approach.


Most frequently cited concerns:

Budget & long-term funding

Most support is around a smaller school community more targeted toward younger learners; most concerns center on impacting existing programs, timeline, pacing, facilities, budget and funding.
