Help Bring Additional Funding to BVUSD
Even though school meals are free for all students, we still need families to complete this online application to ensure valuable school funding.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
It only takes a few minutes – and it helps ALL our students!
When families submit applications, our district receives extra funding through the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). This additional funding supports:
Academic support programs • Student support services • Professional development • Technology tools and classroom resources • Parent engagement activities •Specialized support staff
PLUS
Qualifying families also become eligible for additional student and home services, including:
Child care • After-school enrichment • Summer camps programs • Home internet • And more!
TWO QUICK STEPS
STEP 1:
Check the eligibility – income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level
* Income ranges increase modestly each year, and are officially posted in the spring
STEP 2:
Apply Online – if eligibility is possible
* Applications are required annually, but they're relatively short and easy to complete.
Key Points to Know
- All students already get free meals - you don't need to apply for your child to eat
- Your information is confidential - it is used only for funding purposes
- The application is simple - it takes just a few minutes online
- Every application helps - your submission supports the entire school community
