PURPOSE STATEMENT

The BVUSD BRIDGE (Building Relationships Improving Dialogue Guiding Education) Team is a progressive, collaborative group of educators and administrators dedicated to building trust, fostering open communication, and prioritizing the success and well-being of the entire school community. We collaborate, listen without judgment, and communicate openly. We are committed to creating a positive working environment, holding trust and accountability at the forefront of all decision-making, to cultivate a robust educational experience for students.

Disagree without being disagreeable 

Engage with candor, compassion, and civility 

Accept that we might not reach consensus

Solve problems rather than win arguments- It’s not you against me, it’s you AND me against the problem 

Be present with attendance and limited screens 

Maintain confidentiality to preserve the integrity of both individual members and the team as a whole 

Understand the spirit of the contribution instead of focusing on the language 

Seek clarification until we understand 

Honor perspectives (individual truths + experiences) to build a shared understanding

The BVUSD BRIDGE Team will be comprised of the following: 

Principals: 1 

Superintendent: 1 

Trustee: 1 

School Psych: 1 

BVTA: 3 

CSEA: 3 

***Guest speakers will be invited as needed to inform the discussion*** 

 

QUORUM

Meetings may proceed with the discussion and consideration of agenda items even if a quorum is not achieved. However, no formal votes or decisions may be taken unless all designated members are present. In the event a designated member is absent, any necessary votes or decisions will be deferred to a subsequent meeting where a quorum is met. 

 

ROLES

Meeting roles will rotate at each meeting. 

 

AGENDA DEVELOPMENT

The agenda for the next meeting will be developed at the end of each meeting. 

 

JOINT COMMUNICATIONS / SHARED SUMMARIES

We will develop shared takeaways at the end of each meeting to share with all BVUSD employees.
